1. WHY DO I NEED TO GET A BUILDING INSPECTION DONE?
A property is a significant financial investment and you need to ensure you are making the right decision. A lot of issues with a property are not easily visible to the untrained eye and potential buyers may think a house looks good on the surface when there are actually problems or issues to be aware of.
Every style of house is unique and has its own set of potential issues or things to consider prior to purchase. It is important that you protect yourself from purchasing a potential problem home and get it inspected by a qualified inspector prior to purchase.
2. cAN YOU DO PEST INSPECTIONS AS WELL?
Although we can carry out the inspection, here at IPI Norwest we feel that it's best to have a second set of eyes look over the property. We have trained professionals who work with us that independently carry out the pest inspection and provide the report.
3. HOW DO I RECEIVE THE REPORT?
Once payment has been finalised the report will be emailed to you.
4. WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE INFORMATION CONTAINED WITHIN THE REPORT?
We are more than happy to discuss the report with you. Although our reports are easy to read and follow we can explain in detail anything you may not understand.
5. CAN I BE PRESENT AT THE INSPECTION?
Yes of course! We recommend that you do attend. While it's still important you allow us to get our job done, we are more than happy to talk to you at the end of the inspection and discuss any concerns.
6. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOUR INSPECTORS HAVE?
The IPI Norwest Inspector has over 20 years industry experience, in addition to this extensive experience he is also a qualified and licensed carpenter, licensed builder, concretor, holds a Certificate IV Residential Building Carpentry and Joinery and Diploma in Environmental Health and Building.
7. HOW LONG DOES THE INSPECTION TAKE?
A inspection takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the property and how many defects there are.
8. what's included in the report?
Our reports are detailed and thorough and include an overall description of the property, photos and a detailed description of any defects along with recommendations of issues for further investigation and a conclusion and overall summary of the property.
