Mario Trifiro is the Owner and Principal Building Inspector at Independent Property Inspections Norwest, with over 30 years of experience in building, construction, certification, and compliance. A licensed builder, licensed carpenter, and A1 Accredited Building Certifier, Mario has worked across every stage of residential construction — from hands-on building to leading certification teams at Parramatta City Council.
Before establishing IPI Norwest in 2015, Mario spent over 20 years at Parramatta City Council, progressing from Building Surveyor to Team Leader of Certification and Acting Service Manager for Environmental Health, Protection and Certification. During this time, he led certification teams, managed complex building approvals, oversaw compliance and inspections, developed policies and procedures, and provided expert technical advice to senior management and elected officials.
Today, Mario applies this wealth of knowledge to every inspection — providing detailed, independent assessments of new homes and pre-purchase properties. His reports are known for being comprehensive, practical, and easy to understand, helping homeowners, buyers, and investors make informed decisions while protecting their investment.
